Sedation Dentistry

“Being scared of the dentist is normal” says Chris, the lead sedation dentist at Dental Logic. “I recognise that anxiety and phobias are real barriers to accessing dentistry, and that is why I am a dedicated sedation dentist.”

Will it hurt?

At Dental Logic and our sister practice, St Piran Dental, we believe pain-free dentistry is achievable. Each month, we ask our patients for feedback, and over the past year, 96% said their treatment was pain-free, with 100% saying they would recommend us.

What is sedation?

Dental sedation is sometimes referred to as sleep dentistry. A small injection is given in your arm or the back of your hand, followed by medication that helps you feel deeply relaxed and sleepy. Many patients remember very little of the treatment, and afterwards you simply wake up once everything is complete.

Is it safe?

Sedation is a safe and well-established technique when carried out by appropriately trained professionals. Our team has extensive experience in providing sedation for anxious and nervous patients, following strict clinical guidelines and safety protocols.

We regularly care for patients with dental anxiety and phobia, helping them feel calm and comfortable throughout their treatment.

How do I know if I can have sedation?

The first step is to call us on 01872 306622, and our team will be happy to answer your questions. We can then arrange an appointment at a time that suits you. If you feel particularly anxious, we can organise an initial informal meeting, so you can get to know us before starting treatment.
